        Things Don't Always Go As Planned

 Well they didn't read the scipt at St Denys this week.

With us sitting in second place, a win a Crestwood school would see us go top of the league. Sky Blues would lose to Hedge End Rangers 5-0 and then the following week we would win again v St Denys and win promotion to the 3rd Division. 

After 10 mins played St Denys were cruising to victory with a 3 - 0 lead and I was realised it was a dream. 

This soon became 5 - 0 and we were looking down the barrell.  The half time whistle blew and this gave us a chance to regroup. 

And that we did. We started to pass the ball to our own players and even won a few tackles. This lead to us scoring a goal. 5-1. 

We grew in confidence, we started to creat more attacks and we scored again. 5 - 2, was this to be the comeback of the decade. No, St Denys scored their 6th. 

The boys still battled on and scored a 3rd. 6 - 3 The comeback was back on, were going to win 7 - 6, was drifting off into the dream again. 

No, St Denys rattled in two more to complete the scoring 8 - 3 and that was that. A well deserved win for St Denys.

We played well in the second half and if all the 'if's and but's' had happened we could have scored a few goals in the fist half and not let any in. 

I've never liked put the blame on individuals as I believe that you take the highs and lows as a team.

I'm sure the lads will talk about this amongst themselves and sort a few issuse out before we play St Denys again next week.

You can prepare, motivate and encourage the boys as much as you want , but when things go wrong there's not a lot you can do but hope it's just a blip.

We will learn from this game and HOPEFULLY play to our strengths from the kick off next week. If we do we might just show them that we are a good team.
